The Old Dominion Chapter met on April 21 for a breakfast meeting.

President Buddy, W4YE, called the meeting to order.

Following breakfast introductions were made by those present.

Buddy, W4YE, encouraged contributions to the scholarship fund in honor of his father, W5KL (SK).  All donations are tax deductible.

Treasurer’s Report

The Treasurer’s Report showed a balance $212.41.  Stan, K4UK, was reimbursed for postage.

Dues are due for this year and I have a long list that new to send them in.  If you haven’t done so for 2006, please try to take care of that.  Also we have experienced some e-mail problems.  If you have changed in the past year, I need to have the info as well.

Announcements

Bill, KC4D mentioned that he would be operating 7Q7WW while on missionary work June 5 – 13.  Try to work him on 15, 17,and 20 meters.

Stan, K4UK, encouraged all to operate the club station WW2DDM on June 6th to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of D-Day.  The station will again be used at the Memorial during Family Day on July 22nd from 10 am – 5 pm.  Approximately 30 Radiograms were sent during last year’s event.

It was noted that the Roanoke Ham Fest is scheduled for August 5th at William Byrd High School.

The next meeting will be a picnic at KC4D’s QTH on Saturday, August 12th at 11:00 am.
