The chapter held a breakfast meeting in Bedford, Virginia on June 7, 2003 at the Golden Corral Restaurant. Thirteen Old Dominion Chapter 202 members and four guests were present. They were:

President Bill Svec, WA4BKW opened the meeting at 09:37 AM and welcomed the members and guests. He called on Charlie Beckwith, K4BSF, to read the minutes of the May 03, 2003 meeting held at this same location. The minutes were approved as previously sent to the membership by e-mail and USPS.
Charlie presented the Treasurer's report, which shows a balance of $339.82. A motion was presented, seconded and approved by the membership for the treasurer to secure a club banner. Bob Dixon recommended the local Bedford sheltered workshop which manufactures banners. The decision of a source was placed on the head of the treasurer.

OBIE Price-O'Brien, who was at home making CW contacts as a part of the Special Event, became our second Chapter Life Member in May 2003.
President Bill presented a 50-year Award certificate to Fred Fraley, W4DF.
A 70-year Award certificate has been mailed to George Guill, W4VAN. He has acknowledged receipt and stated a desire to attend the next meeting held in Roanoke.
President Bill again suggested that the August meeting again be a pot-luck dinner, held at Stan's QTH at Smith Mountain Lake. The date has not yet been finalized.
Chapter 202 will once again establish a presence at the Roanoke valley ARC Hamfest to be held at William Byrd High School in Vinton, Virginia on August 2, 2003.
The meeting was adjourned at about 10:00 AM after which the members moved a few miles to the National D-Day Memorial which is also located in Bedford, Virginia. A Special Event Station was established in the Army Mess Tent on the Memorial grounds. The weather was inclement in that it rained all day.
